This Murugan Temple has three Gopurams together with three Praharams. Out of three praharams, one is situated in the basement, second at the midway to top of the hillock and third on around the sanctum of Swamimalaiswamy shrine. There is also a brilliant chariot made of different metals like gold, silver, copper, etc and wonderfully enlighten with electric knobs. Furthermore, there are golden crowns, golden armours and a diamond lance available for Swamimalaiswamy. The first praharam has the shrines of Durga, chandikeswarar, Dakshinamurthy and also the festive image of swaminathaswamy. The second praharam is the largest one, which consists of a marriage hall and chariot of the temple. Unlike other Murugan temples, an elephant is found in front of the lord Murugan instead of peacock.
