Inside Palani Murugan Temple, Bogar Samadhi is there for which the entrance has a cave –like structure. On the exterior walls of sanctum sanctorum, there are several edicts made by Pandya Kings.


When it comes to front Mandapam, there are several artistic and beautiful sculptures including parrot, deer, peacock, karpaga vriksha and many more. Near the Raja Gopuram, you will able to see an excellent sculpture of a young lady who carries her child in right arm and have a flower basket in the left arm. There are also pillars found with Yaali in Paaravel Mandapam. Sculptures of good and young looking damsels present in the Ardha Mandapam create a feel of admirations in the minds of each and every visitor.


The sanctum of chief deity is completely equipped with art works. Moreover, the ceilings have Kodungai designs, which speak the talent of sculptors. In the Navaranga Mandam, you will find the dancing idols of Lord Shiva and Lord kali. In this Hill temple, Valli Sunai is considered as the most ancient as well as holiest dip to take bath previous to worshipping at the temple.
